October 17: Craftacular Saturday!

Welcome to the Saturday Craft-tacutlar!

As part of our Samhain celebration we have asked some of our more crafty Sirens to put together some step by step instructions to lure your creative side out of the waters.  Our third dive into treacherous waters is a visit with Siren Sandi.

You can find Sandi on Facebook and Etsy.

Witches Power Ointment by Sandi Crawford

Witches Power Ointment can be used in many situations to boost your magickal power, and that of your magick. Place a small dot on your third eye and at the base of your skull at the top of your neck during meditation or spell work to boost your power. You can also place a dab on mojo bags, poppets, candles, petition papers, etc. to boost the powers of your spell work as well.
You will need beeswax, carrier oil (coconut, jojoba, olive, almond, etc.), a measuring spoon and cup, essential oils, herbs, and a container. Begin by mixing equal parts melted beeswax, and carrier oil. To melt the beeswax place a measuring cup with the desired amount of wax in a pot of boiling water. Once melted add your carrier oil and stir well. Let cool a little (not so much that a film starts to form). Add essential oils to the strength of scent you want. For the Witch’s Power ointment I added a mix of Amber, Sandalwood, and Myrrh essential oils. Mix well.

For the container you can use a lip balm tin or a locket if you want to keep it with you! I used a round locket for mine (after I craft it up of course) and tins for those I sell in the shop.

Once you have your mixture scented to your liking carefully pour it into your container. If any spills over it is easily cleaned off once it hardens. If you try to wipe it up after it hardens you risk making a bigger mess. As it cools you can add crystal chips or herbs as you’d like .

Since the lip balm tins are just a plain old tin and I am a crafter I decided to dress them up a bit. Glueing a charm to the top is decorative yet simple. Perfect for these powerful ointments.

You make your blend with any type of oil, herb, or crystal to attract any type of energy from love, abundance, prosperity, etc. And if you still don’t want to try and make your own I do carry these in the shop and custom blends are available as well!

  1. Sandi, thank you so much for your craft post. I look forward to trying it out. I have bought a few things (not nearly as much as I would like!) from your shop, and plan on doing so again. I did notice one thing in your shop: a tea light holder that says 'namaste b*tches'. Do I detect a fellow former member of Regretsy?

    1. Thank you for enjoying the post!! That is one of my most popular holders and candles! Regretsy sounds like something I've heard before. I'll have to check it out!! :-)
